JAC member, Stephanie Miller competed at the first nomination
shoot of the 2008 Olympic Trials held in Conyers, GA from September
27-30, 2007.
The field of 38 women was cut to the top 16 after the first day. The
next two days consisted of 15 round robin matches among the top 16
competitors in the men's and women's division. Stephanie finished in
12th place overall.
After graduating from Columbia University in New York in May of
2007, Stephanie was finally able to focus on training full-time, putting in
44 hours a week to catch up with her competition, most of whom are
full-time athletes. She will continue to train with her coach Ron
McCormick, and will compete in the second nomination shoot in April,
2008 as a member of the 2008 Olympic Trials Shadow Team, where the
field will be cut to the top 8.
